The Affair - An Unforeseen Turn¿

Sathvik and I hurry back to my room. Anu calls me in a really horrified voice. I hope everything's all right. But she sounds urgent. Sathvik planned of giving me an ice cream treat but we have dropped the plan because of Anu. We reach my flat. Sathvik insists on coming up with me. He's worried too.
I press the door bell. It takes a minute for Anu to open up. And, my body shivers as u saw her. Her face has been filled with bruises and the right cheek imprinted red all over. Seems like someone just slapped her and misbehaved her. Or maybe worse.
"What the fuck happened? Tell me."
"Arushi...please calm down." Sathvik sat right beside me and Anu. We both turn to her with surprise as she explains each and everything. It's all Rohit ka karnama. He arrived here asking for me. Since, he haven't found me, he threatened Anu. "Is breaking up with him last night a really dangerous step that I've taken?" Because of me, this whole damn thing happened. I am the one to be blamed. I feel so sorry. Sathvik brought some water from the kitchen. We both try to solace her as much as we can.
I narrate the complete story of me and Rohit to Sathvik. I am really glad that he understands me. Instead, he cares more for me now. Sathvik understands people. How can someone be so supportive? "He could have left me behind or fought with me for this whole shitty things.", I thought.
In the meantime, Sathvik called Vijay (Anu's boyfriend). He have taken the initiative to let him realise that everything is fine right now.
"Anu, let's go to the police. Rohit is a bastard. I can't let a untamed animal roam about the streets carelessly."
"No...Arush. Please don't. If my family gets to know about it, my job and my boyfriend dono se haath dhona parega."
"But...look at you. What he did to you...all because of me."
"See...let's clear things out with him. Maybe he'll understand. Take Sathvik along with you."
"Yeah that's right Arushi. Going to police will only be like pulling the things more and more...with no any conclusion. Moreover Rohit is a big guy. He can do anything with that money."
"Exactly. Maybe you should call him to meet you. He'll surely come. Or else his sudden appearances in the flat would be seen. Maybe he can commit a murder too. That rascal!"
"Mmm. Maybe I should think with a calm mind."

Sathvik calms me down a bit with Anu dozing off beside me in bed. Anu's been through a lot because of me. I feel guilty.
Everything's alright a few hours ago, and now a drastic change. Thinking of Rohit scares me. How was I involved with a psychopath this all damn days! Yes, he's indeed violent when we use to date. But, since he have got himself busy in his dealer, he contacted less. Maybe, that's the reason I never have known him better.
"Here, call him. I promise I am with you."
It's been 6:30pm. I search Rohit's number from  the blacklisted dialer.
"Hello, baby. Where are you? Why did you do this with me?" Rohit's voice irritated me.
"Listen Rohit. We need to talk. And I really didn't like the fact of threatening my roommate. If you have something to do, you should approach me,not her."
"No baby...I did nothing. Why are you putting up allegations on me?"
"Stop your nonsense and meet me at River Café in half an hour."
I disconnected the call. "He will come na?"
I ask Sathvik with a worried look.
"Yes, I will break his head tonight. Don't worry." Sathvik hugs me tight.

I call a colleague of Anu so that she doesn't have to stay alone. Meanwhile, Sathvik and I direct towards café.
I sit in the corner most table from where I can easily see the front door of the Cafe and Sathvik, in another table to the left of the reception point. Sathvik's eyes have been fixed on me. And my - on the door. Just waiting for a bastard who ruined my life. And still is! - Rohit Kashyap, my Ex boyfriend.
