A Cold Shoulder - The Unforgotten End!

"Hey, could you please help us find Aisha Shyam. We're her friends, just came to meet her." Mishra have asked the help desk, where a beautiful girl dressed in Violet listens carefully. "Yes sir. Give me a second." She picks the telephone and calls someone. "Aisha, you have visitors."

Deep within I am excited and nervous, a bit angry at the same time. Why have this happened though?
I can see a girl through the glasses of the door which weren't transparent. She opens the door. Her eyes contacts with mine. We both stay still for sometime. She bits her lip in disappointment. She looks really pale. She wears a T shirt with a cartoon in it. She still looks really beautiful. I walk towards her. "Is this the girl, K?" Banerjee breaks the silence.
I look straight into her eyes. Her eyes seems to be filled with guilt. Whatever.
"Hey." I say.
"Hi."
"Can we talk? It's goddamn urgent."
"I have a few documents to sign. Will be here in a minute."
"You will come na? I mean you won't disappear like the last time right?
"I shall come. You should know the truth."
She go back through the same door. Banerjee rolled his eyes and looked at me. "I can no longer take suspenses. This girl is getting on my nerves. Baat khatam kro bhai...aaj hi."
"Yeah K, he's right." Agrees Mishra.

In two minutes she appears. She directs the three of us to the canteen. We three followed like the nursery students obediently who doesn't know what is gonna happen next.
We settle down in a squared table. Her silence is killing me.
"So, what's the truth?"
"See, I am really sorry for what I did. I still am guilty about it."
"You come to me, talk, take me to your flat. We spent time together. You promise me to meet the next day. And suddenly you disappear. And after all these, you are saying a sorry? Seriously!"
"K, please try to understand. Let me explain."
"Okay. I came here for a talk. So what do you mean by 'you should know the truth?"
I along with Mishra and Banerjee observe her as she speaks. Yes, we are indeed curious to know about her disappearance.
"So, that day I had a bad break up with my boyfriend. It's a three year relationship. He ditched me with a girl. You only know whatever I had told you that night regarding my parents. That flat belongs to me. And, honestly my name is Aisha Shyam."
"Okay. And then?" Banerjee asks in an angry tone.
"Who's the woman in your flat? Why did the CCTV footage didn't prove anything against you, why did you removed it? And the security gaurd? Whats all this shit?" Mishra narrates in a panicking voice.
She looks at Mishra in a shocking way. And then turns to me "Okay, so you shared everything to them?"
"Why won't I Miss Aisha? They are the ones who helped me and are with me even now. We were crazily searching for you like anything! Don't you get it girl?" I tell her.
"That night I really wanted someone to be with me, so I made up that story of ditching date. You seemed really a nice person to me. I thought you won't take advantage of me. But, after you went, my boyfriend called me. He was weeping, he asked sorry."
"Ohooo...and then?" I ask.
"And then...I felt really guilty. The kiss. You. I was thinking about it the whole night. And then, I called my Aunt. She's really close to me after mom and dad's demise. She agreed to help me. We planned accordingly. I thought you would forget me, if I disappear. I was a selfish. I am a jerk."
"And your boyfriend?" - yes, I know, I don't have the right to ask...but something within me forced me to ask her. That's okay, I assume.
"He's with me. I haven't told him about us. And would never. That kiss was a mistake maybe. Please forgive me. You can leave now. I am sorry."
Have you ever felt as if you are waking up early in the morning to see the sunrise. You reach and suddenly the cloud covers the sky and it starts to rain. How would you feel? Disappointed right? Or some people might enjoy the present moment of the amazing raindrops. Well, I don't belong to that group of "people" enjoying the rain. Haha, what a stupid!
"It's okay. I don't have anything to tell or explain or even ask for an explanation."
"K, please don't try to contact me again." She leans forward. She kisses me on my right cheek. She hugs me for the last time. I hug back. It's cold. It's really cold. We both don't know what we're feeling right now. A cold shoulder! Yes, I am her cold shoulder. Now.
